Heyam Alsayed Legal Firm provides an articling program which is a comprehensive introduction to the practice of law.
We typically look for applicants who have a good academic background, strong interpersonal skills, and whom we feel would be a solid asset to the firm not only as a student but as a future associate and partner.
As a student, you will be assigned one partner who will act as a principal throughout your articles, and you will also be assigned an associate “buddy” to whom you can turn for help or advice at any time. There is no formal rotation system. Instead, you can expect to receive instructions directly from lawyers in any of our practice areas. We will, however, ensure that your articles will be well-rounded and that you are provided with exposure to a variety of barrister’s and solicitor’s work.
Applications should be received approximately one year in advance of the start of articles (i.e. we recommend applying once second-year grades are available). Please include transcripts with all applications.
